The auction winner will be invited to an in-person tour of her studio for a glimpse of her artistic process, and will receive a signed monograph of her work. Best known for her elaborate paintings composed of rhinestones, acrylic, and enamel which dissect the intersecting complexities of Black and female identity within the Western canon—Mickalene Thomas is also a Tony Award nominated co-producer, curator, educator and mentor to many emerging artists.
